With fall almost here, this Coffee Date and Walnut Cake Recipe is the perfect sweet treat! Today we are using our new favourite coffee, Microdose from Javy! This coffee concentrate adds a rich flavour to our Coffee Date and Walnut Cake and makes the perfect cup of coffee to pair with it!
Ingridients
Coffee Date and Walnut Cake – Makes one 9×5 inch loaf pan
Bake at 350 degrees F for 60-70 mins
- 2 1/2 cups chopped dates
- 1 1/2 cups hot coffee of your choice, we are using Javy’s Microdose Coffee Concentrate
- 1/2 cup unsalted room-temperature butter
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
Brown Sugar Drizzle
- 1/4 cup unsalted room-temperature butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
Iced Coffee with Cold Foam
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tsp Javy’s Microdose Coffee Concentrate
- 5 coffee ice cubes, made with Javy’s Microdose Coffee Concentrate
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
