Ingredients
- 4 cups Fresh Cherries, stalks removed and pitted
- ¾ cup Water, room temperature
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch (add 1 tbsp of water to make a slurry)
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- In a heavy bottom pot, add the water, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch slurry, and salt.
- Place the pot on medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture begins to thicken.
- Now toss in the cherries and cook for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Bottle and preserve.
