Ingredients
- 6 Slices (900 grams) King Fish Steaks
For the Marinate
- 1½ tablespoons Kashmiri Chili Powder
- ¾ teaspoon Tumeric Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste
- ½ teaspoons Ginger Paste
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
- 2-3 tablespoons Water
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
For Frying
- 3-4 tablespoons Oil, for frying
For Garnish
- Lemon Wedges
- Onions Rings
Method
- Wash the fish steaks, pat them dry, and season them with salt and pepper on both sides. Keep them aside.
- In a bowl, add all ingredients for the marinade and add just enough water till you get a smooth paste.
- Apply the marinade on both sides of the fish steaks. Cover and keep them aside for about an hour to absorb all the flavours.
- To a heated skillet on medium heat, add oil, and fry the fish steaks until they are cooked and turn crispy on both sides.
- Enjoy the fish hot with a side of onions and lemon wedges.
